Los Angeles - Actress and activist Morgan Fairchild has teamed up with the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the American Stroke Association (ASA). She is raising awareness about the warning signs of stroke and the importance of getting to the emergency department fast with a campaign called "Give Me 5: Walk, Talk, Reach, See, Feel."

Dr. Diana Fite, an emergency medicine physician in Houston and a mother of eight children suffered a stroke on the morning of June 7, 2006, and her story was detailed in a New York Times article in May 2007.

"Give Me 5" stroke awareness campaign launched (Reuters Health)

Actress Morgan Fairchild has teamed up with the American Academy of Neurology, the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Stroke Association to launch a new campaign designed to raise awareness about the early warning signs of stroke and the critical importance of early treatment.
